DN Journal Publishing Services was created to provide highly skilled, experienced, unbiased services to the academic publishing community.
Duncan has fifteen years of experience working in the journal publishing industry.
He is an adept problem solver, developing projects to improve quality in editorial aspects of journal publishing, facilitate science communication, and improve functionality, efficiency and transparency in peer-review management.
Duncan is Vice-President of the European Association of Science Editors (EASE). He has authored guidelines for use by Association members, is involved in Association strategy groups and conference organisation, and has written articles for the European Science Editing journal.
He Chaired the 2017 and 2018 conference organising committee for the International Society for Managing and Technical Editors (ISMTE), has run workshops at Society conferences and has written articles for their Editorial Office News publication.
From 2004 Duncan worked at Taylor & Francis under the Psychology Press imprint (putting a degree in psychology to use), providing editorial management support, and conducting the implementation, site configuration and daily peer-review administration of 30 behavioural science journals.
In 2012 he became the first member of a newly formed Journal Development Team at Taylor & Francis, set up to provide best practice guidance and deploy industry initiatives across the business. He provided editorial development for specially selected titles, working in detail within the fields of arts & humanities, behavioural science, public health, business, economics and sociology, education, engineering and IT, environment and agriculture, physical sciences, mathematics, politics, geography and area studies.
Amelia has over twenty years of experience in sales and business development.
Amelia manages the day-to-day running of the DN Journals office, and oversees the booking and organisation of our projects and training courses.
Her background is in new business development, sales strategy, account/project management, product and service sales.
