EASE Conference: Managing Ethics Session Abstract


In addition to moderating a session on the Certification of Editors at the forthcoming EASE Conference, I will also be be a session speaker in a session discussing the role of technical and managing editors in preventing publishing misconduct. This session will be at 3.30pm on Saturday 11th June. Here is the session overview. The full abstract, with details of all speakers is available from the EASE site here Are authors always wrong? This session will look at how the editorial processes can help authors to avoid problems and raise the quality of their work before publication. This session will consider potential misconduct and quality issues from the perspectives of language and copyeditors, it will discuss the role of the editorial office in educating and responding to problems, and will also present the author’s viewpoint – what are their rights?
