Peer Review Week 2019 call for contributions
We are pleased to be involved in the Peer Review Week organising committee this year – which runs from 16th to 20th September. As our contribution to the week’s events, Duncan is collaborating with Phil Hurst, Publisher at the Royal Society, to curate series of video talking head/interviews to discuss and promote Quality in Peer Review (the theme of the week).
This is a call for contributions from you! We want to include researchers, publishers and anyone with views on quality in peer review, from a range of voices around the world, covering established and emerging research areas, different experiences, and subject area backgrounds. We want it to be as easy as possible to participate; all that is needed is a smartphone and a little time. The videos need only be around 1-minute long (no more than 3 minutes). We have put together a video creator toolkit, with simple guidelines on how to make a video without hi-tech equipment, a list of possible primers for you to consider, and submission info: http://bit.ly/prw19videotips The videos will be compiled on a Peer Review Week youtube channel and featured across a whole range of platforms and events during the event week. If you are interested in contributing, please feel free to message us with your ideas or questions. If you would like more information on the Peer Review Week initiative, visit the website, or read Alice Meadow's Scholarly Kitchen blog post celebrating five years of the event.
